Kyrgyzstan will become a key transport hub in the region thanks to aviation projects

President Sadyr Zhaparov stated that new aviation projects will transform Kyrgyzstan into a key transport hub in Central Asia. He spoke about the launch of construction work on the international airport ‘Jalal-Abad’, located near the China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway, and the upcoming opening of the ‘Kashgar’ air corridor at the end of the month. These initiatives will open new economic and tourist prospects.

Zhaparov noted that the ‘Naryn’ and ‘Talas’ airports have been updated for passenger comfort, the ‘Kazarman’ airport is ready for operation, and the international ‘Karakol’ airport in combination with the ‘Ala-Too Resort’ ski resort stimulates tourism in the Issyk-Kul region. A new terminal for 450 passengers per hour is being built at the ‘Issyk-Kul’ airport.

The president thanked civil aviation workers for ensuring the safety and openness of Kyrgyzstan’s skies, emphasizing their contribution to the country’s future and promising state support for the industry.
