Overview

This Ala-Archa day trip from Bishkek takes you in about an hour from the city to a gorge of granite peaks, spruce forest and glaciers at the foot of the Kyrgyz Ala-Too. At about 2,150 m you choose your own day: an easy walk along the river, a half-day hike to the Ak-Sai waterfall, a longer climb to viewpoints over 4,000 m peaks, a horse ride in the valley or the cable car for the panorama without effort. Picnic lunch in nature and back in Bishkek in the afternoon. Private, all year round, with a guide matched to your level.

  • Hike to the Ak-Sai waterfall with views over the gorge
  • Easy riverside walk or a horse ride for beginners
  • Cable car up the slope for the panorama without effort
  • Ibex and marmots — with luck — and a picnic in the alpine meadows
