Important Notice – Visa Support
Please note that Kyrgyz Tourism provides visa support (invitation letter) only for confirmed tour bookings.
We do not process visa requests for individuals who are not planning to travel with us or who seek visas for non-tourism purposes.
Requests without a confirmed tour program will not be considered.
If you are planning to travel to Kyrgyzstan, please read the updated visa regulations carefully before booking your trip.
The Kyrgyz Republic has introduced changes to its visa system for foreign citizens.
According to the updated regulations, both the “Sapar” visa and the tourist visa are now maintained as separate visa categories. The changes aim to clearly distinguish the purposes of travel and improve the organization of entry procedures into the country.
The “Sapar” visa is intended for guest visits, business trips, and other short-term purposes not directly related to tourism activities. Meanwhile, the tourist visa is designed specifically for foreign citizens visiting Kyrgyzstan for travel, recreation, and exploration of the country’s tourism potential.
The updated visa system is expected to simplify application procedures, enhance transparency in migration regulations, and create more convenient conditions for international visitors and tourists.
The new regulations have already entered into force and are being applied through the electronic visa system and diplomatic missions of the Kyrgyz Republic abroad.
🌍 Visa-Free Entry (Short Stay)
Citizens of 55 countries can enter Kyrgyzstan without a visa for tourism purposes.
✔ Visa-free stay is allowed for up to 30 calendar days within a 60-day period (counted from the date of entry).
⚠️ Important update from January 1, 2026:
The previous 60-day visa-free stay is no longer valid.
“Visa runs” are no longer permitted.
After the allowed period expires, travellers must:
leave Kyrgyzstan, or
obtain a visa, temporary stay permit, residence permit, or other legal status.
This rule applies to all travellers who entered Kyrgyzstan from January 1, 2026 onwards.

📄 When Do You Need a Visa?
If:
your nationality is not included in the visa-free list, or
you plan to stay longer than 30 days
✔ Maximum validity: up to 90 days
✔ In special cases it may be extended up to 6 months
📑 Letter of Invitation (LOI)
Depending on your nationality, a Letter of Invitation issued by a registered Kyrgyz travel agency or organisation may be required.
✅ Clients who book a tour program with Kyrgyz Tourism will receive an official LOI free of charge.
The LOI includes:
confirmed travel program
accommodation bookings
tour services confirmation

💻 How to Apply for an E-Visa
The visa application process is fully online.
1️⃣ Visit the official portal

2️⃣ Check your eligibility
Menu → Get Information → Do I need a visa?
3️⃣ Complete the application form and upload:
passport (valid at least 6 months)
passport-size photo
Letter of Invitation (if required)
4️⃣ Pay the visa fee by bank card.
✔ Each traveller must have an individual visa
(including children and infants).
⏱ Processing Time
Standard processing time: up to 5 working days.
⚠️ Important recommendations:
Carefully check all data before submitting
No refund is issued if the visa is rejected
Do not buy flight tickets before receiving visa approval
If the application is returned for correction,
the processing time starts again after resubmission.
