Multi-activity tours in Kyrgyzstan put several adventures into one trip: a hike to a mountain lake, a ride across the summer pastures, rafting in Chong-Kemin, a bath in the hot springs of Altyn-Arashan and nights in a yurt with nomad families – plus golden eagle hunters, felt makers and the old Silk Road. Below are all our 11 multi-activity trips, from a 3-day eagle hunting tour and a 5-day weekly group trip (from $500) to one-week lake tours, 9-day family holidays and 11–18-day journeys across Kyrgyzstan, to Uzbekistan or into the Pamir. All private tours are planned for your group and your dates, with an English-speaking guide and a driver.

Which trip is right for you?
Only one week
The
7-day Issyk-Kul & Song-Kol tour shows both great lakes, or join the
5-day weekly group trip on a fixed date. For a short culture trip in autumn or winter: the
3-day golden eagle hunting tour.
Families with children
The
Children’s Quiz Adventure turns the trip into a game for kids of about 5–14; the
Family Adventure in Kyrgyzstan suits active families who like to hike and ride.
Culture and crafts
On the
9-day handicraft tour you make your own felt art and an Ala-Kiyiz carpet with local masters; the
eagle hunting tour brings you close to the berkutchi.
The big round trips
The
11-day lakes tour with Kel-Suu and the
11-day Grand Tour by 4x4 cover the highlights of Kyrgyzstan – lakes, passes, canyons and yurt camps.
Two countries in one trip
Combine Kyrgyzstan with Uzbekistan on the
15-day Silk Road tour, or with Tajikistan on the
Pamir Highway expedition.
Work and travel
The
18-day digital nomad workation leaves your mornings free for work, with Starlink in the yurt camp at Song-Kol.
Best time for a multi-activity tour
June to September is the main season: the yurt camps at Song-Kol and Kel-Suu are open, the high roads are free of snow and the pastures are full of herds. July and August are the warmest months; in Uzbekistan May–June and September–October are more pleasant than the summer heat. Eagle hunting is best from October to April.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need experience in hiking or riding?
No. The hikes are short and the horse rides are at walking pace with a local guide. Only the Pamir expedition needs good fitness; the other trips are easy to moderate.
How much does a multi-activity tour cost?
The weekly group trip costs from $500 per person. Private tours are priced for your group size, season and choice of hotels – send us your dates and we reply with an exact quote within 24 hours.
Are the tours private or in a group?
All tours except the weekly group trip are private for your own group, usually 2–12 people, on any date in the season. Single travellers can join the weekly group trip.
Can we travel with children?
Yes. The Children’s Quiz Adventure and the Family Adventure are made for families, and most other trips can be adapted – the altitude rises slowly and the drives have many stops.
Where do we sleep?
In family guesthouses in the villages, hotels in Bishkek, Naryn and the cities of Uzbekistan, and yurt camps at Song-Kol, Kel-Suu and Issyk-Kul. Yurt camps have shared toilets.
Can I combine Kyrgyzstan with other countries?
Yes – with Uzbekistan on the Silk Road tour, with Tajikistan on the Pamir trip, and we can add Kazakhstan on request. Most European travellers need no visa for Kyrgyzstan.
