⚠️ Important Information About Location & Safety
The Asian Patagonia (Pamir-Alai / Turkestan Range) trekking area is located in a very remote mountainous region near the border with Tajikistan.
The nearest regional center is Batken city. Please note that infrastructure in this region is limited, including medical facilities.
🏥 Medical Assistance & Evacuation
In the event of a serious injury or medical emergency, access to advanced medical care may require transportation to Bishkek, the capital city.
There are two possible evacuation scenarios:
1️⃣ Ground Evacuation (most realistic option)
Part of the route may need to be covered on horseback to reach vehicle access
Transfer by car to Batken
Domestic flight from Batken to Bishkek
The approximate cost of this type of evacuation is around USD 500, depending on circumstances.
2️⃣ Helicopter Evacuation (Ministry of Emergency Situations)
In critical situations, a helicopter evacuation can be arranged through the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
Helicopter deployment costs may exceed USD 10,000, depending on distance, weather conditions, and flight requirements.

🛡 Travel Insurance Requirement
Because this trek takes place in a remote high-mountain environment with limited infrastructure, comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory.
We strongly recommend insurance that includes:
Coverage of at least USD 50,000–100,000
Mountain rescue and evacuation coverage (including helicopter evacuation)
Coverage for trekking activities up to 4,500 m altitude
Ensuring proper insurance coverage is the traveler’s responsibility.
