11-day, 200 km high-mountain trek from Belogorka through remote passes, alpine lakes, and nomadic jailoos to Song-Kol, combining wild camping, yurt stays, and authentic cultural encounters.
Day-by-Day Program
Transfer from Bishkek to Belogorka Waterfall. Short scenic walk to the waterfall and picnic lunch.
Begin trekking toward Sokuluk Gorge and camp in the alpine meadow of Kurgak-Tor.
Distance: ~10 km | Overnight: Tent
Cross the impressive Sokuluk Pass (3,740 m) — one of the highest points of the expedition.
Descend into the remote Eastern Karakolka Valley and camp by the river.
Distance: ~20 km | Overnight: Tent
Follow the river valley before ascending toward Chong-Tash Pass (3,200 m).
Wild camping in a secluded alpine landscape surrounded by untouched nature.

During the trekking, we provide you with pack horses and you can do trekking with your light things. All the heavy things, cooking gear, and your large backpacks will be carried by horses.
Most nights are spent camping in tents deep in the wilderness. The final three nights are in traditional yurts at Song-Kol, and one mid-expedition night is in a comfortable guesthouse — offering hot showers, a sauna, and a well-deserved rest to recharge after long trekking days.
We provide you with mineral water where it is available to buy on the way in the village shops when we travel by vehicle. In fact, will have bottled water for two first days. But during all trek-days, we will not able to carry the much mineral bottled waters, we take water from the springs and rivers for cooking and for tea-coffee after well boiling for sure. For drinking, you can use water filters. We offer you to bring the water purified pills from your side. In Kyrgyzstan, people used to drink from the rivers and spring sources and we don’t use water filters and any pure file pills. Therefore, you will not able to find the water pure file pills or portable filters in Central Asia at all.
