Day-by-Day Program

Morning departure from Bishkek. Drive to Kochkor village and continue off-road to the alpine lake Kol-Ukok.
Optional walking around the lake.
Dinner and overnight in a traditional yurt camp.
(Optional: overnight in guesthouse in Kochkor.)

Drive via remote shepherd roads over Semiz-Bel Pass. Picnic lunch in the mountains.
Continue toward the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake.
Arrival in Bokonbaevo. Overnight in guesthouse.

Early departure for an adventurous off-road drive across Tosor Pass.
Enjoy spectacular views of high mountain valleys.
Arrival near Naryn. Dinner and overnight in guesthouse.

Drive through the vast landscapes of the Ak-Sai Valley via Kyndy Pass.
Arrival at Kel-Suu yurt camp. Dinner and overnight.

Free day for hiking, photography, or optional horseback riding.
Overnight in yurt camp.

Drive across the high plateau toward the historic Silk Road caravanserai Tash-Rabat.
Dinner and overnight in yurt camp.

Drive via Baetov village to the alpine lake Song-Kul.

Descend via Shilbili Pass to Kyzart village.

Return drive to Bishkek due Suusamyr and Too-Ashu pass. End of the tour.

  • Be aware of pickpockets and strangers at bazaars and streets.
  • If someone asking for documents, wallets or cameras, saying that they are from the police, ask them to go police together.
  • Never give your belongings to strangers.
  • Wear good hiking shoes for outdoor activities.
  • Bring warm waterproof clothes even in summer.
  • Have your torch sunscreen and repellent.
  • Do not drink very cold water from unknown sources.
  • Drinking alcohol at high altitudes is unsafe.
  • If the food fat or not acceptable for you can taste a bit and say thanks.
  • Do not drink cold water after eating out, better hot tea or c It helps in high altitude digestions cases.
  • Wear warm clothes in the mountains, usually after eating out.

  • High altitude vegetation is very fragile. Save the environment.
  • Use toilets in nature wherever available. Where are none, stay at least 40-50 m from streams and water sources and bury all waste and paper.
