This 9-day family tour of Kyrgyzstan turns the trip into a game: at every stop children solve quizzes, collect clues and take part in hands-on activities – a treasure hunt at Burana Tower, Kyrgyz national games in Chong-Kemin, a craft master class and beach time at Issyk-Kul, a cooking class, a meeting with a golden eagle hunter and two nights in a yurt camp at Song-Kol lake (3,016 m) with horse or donkey rides. Drives are short, the pace is relaxed and the altitude rises gently. June to September, private trip for your family (2–6 travellers) from Bishkek.
The price is calculated individually: it depends on group size, dates and accommodation level. Send a request and we will prepare an offer for your group.

Ages and altitude
Tell us the ages of your children – games and activities are adapted to them. The tour climbs slowly: only nights 7 and 8 are at Song-Kol (3,016 m), after a week at 1,600–2,000 m. Nights at the lake are cold even in summer.
What to bring
Comfortable shoes, warm layers and a jacket for Song-Kol, rain jacket, sun hats, sunglasses and high-SPF sunscreen, swimwear for Issyk-Kul, a small backpack for each child, favourite snacks and personal medicine.
The tour works best for children from about 5 to 14 years. Tell us the ages of your children and we adapt the quizzes, games and activities – younger children ride donkeys or ponies with a guide on foot.
Yes, for healthy children it is usually no problem: the tour climbs slowly and you reach Song-Kol only on day 7. Drink a lot, take it easy on the first evening and tell the guide if a child has a headache. Nights at the lake are cold, so bring warm clothes.
Most days have 1–4 hours of driving with stops for games, picnics and sights. The longest drive is the last day from Song-Kol back to Bishkek, about 290 km or 5 hours.
Night 1 in a hotel in Bishkek (not included, we book it on request), nights 2–5 in family guesthouses in Chong-Kemin, Tamchy, Karakol and Barskoon, and nights 6–8 in yurt camps near Bokonbaevo and at Song-Kol. Toilets in yurt camps are shared.
The price depends on the number of adults and children, their ages and your dates. Send us these details and we will reply with an exact quote within 24 hours.
Choose this tour if your children love games and want a playful program at every stop. For more active families with longer walks and hikes: the 9-day Family Adventure in Kyrgyzstan. Just a few days with horses and yurts: the 3-day Song-Kol horse riding tour.
