This 9-day Kyrgyzstan handicraft tour takes you to the people who keep the nomad crafts alive: felt makers, weavers and yurt builders. You join hands-on master classes – “Silk & Wool” felt art in Tamchy and an Ala-Kiyiz felt carpet with a master in Kara-Suu – visit the Kiyiz Duino felt centre, the Ak-Orgo artisans in Barskoon and the yurt makers of Kyzyl-Tuu. Between the workshops: Burana Tower, the petroglyphs of Cholpon-Ata, the hot springs of Altyn-Arashan, Jeti-Oguz and two nights in yurts by Issyk-Kul and Song-Kol (3,016 m).
