5 Day Arabel Plateau Horseback Expedition

Arabel Plateau horseback expedition is one of the most remote horse riding adventures in Kyrgyzstan.
The Arabel Plateau (Arabel-Suu) is a vast alpine tundra valley located south of Issyk-Kul Lake at an elevation of 3,800–4,000 m. This ancient peneplain — known locally as syrt — is shaped by glaciers, dotted with dozens of turquoise lakes, and surrounded by the dramatic snowy peaks of the Terskey Alatau Range.

Why ride on Arabel Plateau?

  • one of the highest riding regions in Tien Shan
  • vast open landscapes
  • glacier-fed lakes
  • authentic nomadic experience

This expedition combines scenic horseback riding through wild valleys, authentic nomadic camping experiences, and exploration of a rarely visited high-altitude environment.
