Further, drive to the village. Arrive in Chong-Kemin at 15.00. Give a try for short horse riding lessons to get prepared for the Song-Kol horse ride. Dinner, bed, and breakfast at a guest house Kok-Archa which is located in the gorge surrounded by wild nature Christmas tree forest.

Morning breakfast. At 9.00 continue the drive to Karakol (about 4 hours). On the way make a stop in Cholpon-Ata to visit an open-air petroglyph (rock painting) gallery (5km from Cholpon-Ata, heading to the mountains). Lunch en-route in a café at 13.00. Afternoon arrival in Karakol around 15.00, followed by a city tour: visit the Dungan Mosque and the Russian Orthodox Church. Free time in town.Dinner in the evening around 19.00. Accommodation in the hotel Green Yard, Karagat, or similar.

After breakfast starts driving into Altyn-Arashan by 4WD truck at about 09.30. Arrival in Altyn-Arashan. Picnic lunch at noontime. Take a bath in hot springs. Free and leisure time. Late afternoon around 16.30 drive back to Karakol by a 4WD truck (optional to do downhill hiking ). Dinner in the evening at 19.00

After breakfast, transfer to the Jeti-Ögüz Gorge (Seven Bulls), 1 hour. Visit the Kök-Jaik area (Valley of Flowers), for 2-3 hours. Picnic lunch en-route. Drive to the southern shore of Ysyk-Köl Lake (3-hour drive). Visit Skazka on the way. Arrive in the yurt camp.  Have dinner and overnight stay at a yurt camp near Bokonbaevo village.

After breakfast Eagle hunting demonstration; learn more about this nomad tradition. Then drive to Kochkor Village (Naryn region, about 3 hours). Lunch upon arrival.   Afternoon – learn how “ala kiiz” – Kyrgyz felt carpets – are made. Traditional sheep slaughtering and besh-barmak show. Dinner, bed, and breakfast at a guest house.

Transfer from Kochkor to Kyzart pass.  Arrive at Kyzart pass, meet your guide’s team and start the tour. Within sight of the road, cross Kyzyl-Kiya jailoo, an enormous, relatively flat sea of grass.  Continue over the Chaar-Archa Pass (3061 m) into the Chaar-Archa Valley and eat a tasty lunch by the racing river, with views of holy 4400 m Baba-Ata Mountain. Sated, ford the river and follow the trail over verdant hills to Kilemche Jailoo.  The name means “like a carpet,” and this swathe of grass covers whole mountain ranges, with shadings as subtle as any shyrdak (shyrdak is a Kyrgyz felt carpet).  Dine and sleep in a yurt, naturally.  Horse time: 4-5 hours

After breakfast at Kilemche, spend the morning climbing to Jalgyz Karagai pass (3400 m), over the Song-Kol Mountains, and into the lake’s basin. The morning climb affords wonderful views of Kilemche jailoo, and the pass itself is rocky and exciting.  From the pass, Song-Kol is still distant, but as you traipse down the slopes, it gets larger and larger; the mountains on the other side get higher and higher until finally, the lake fills most of your field of view and the southern mountains tower above it.  After lunch at Jaman Echki, follow the lakeshore east to the yurt at Batai Aral.  Upon arrival meet your host family of Kyrgyz shepherds. Meals and overnight are in a yurt of shepherds. Horse time: 4-5 hours

Spend the day enjoying refreshing and well-earned rest at the lakeside.  Watching and/or participation in everyday life of shepherds: milking mares; making national milk products like kymyz (a fermented mare’s milk) or airan (a sour dense milk product); tending cattle. Eat a delicious lunch here, stroll along the lakeshore, and hope the legendary Song-Kol weather is kind. After lunch transfer for Bishkek. Arrive in Bishkek around 18:00pm. Accommodation in the hotel. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

End of services.
