At the board meeting of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the results of work in 2025 were summed up. In his speech, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baysalov emphasized the key importance of the cultural sphere in strengthening national identity and consolidating society. ‘Our task is to consistently contribute to its development, support creative initiatives and ensure equal access for citizens to cultural values,’ he noted. According to the deputy head of government, priority areas remain further support for regional cultural programs, development of modern forms of art, as well as creating favorable conditions for realizing the potential of youth. He also focused on the need to ensure equal access to cultural services for residents of all regions of the country and active promotion of Kyrgyzstan’s historical and cultural heritage on the international arena. The ministry is tasked to intensify work on the development of book publishing, modernization of the library network with the creation of community and co-working centers, construction of modern cultural centers, as well as initiating a new international scholarship program for young performers.
