The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Union of Water Motor Sports — Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at developing cooperation in the field of water motor sports, event tourism, and international sports events.
The document outlines the parties’ intention to collaborate on exploring the possibility of holding international water motor sports competitions on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, including a stage of the UIM F1H2O World Championship.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties also expressed readiness to support the development of water motor sports in the country, including backing the initiative to create a national federation.
It is noted that the natural and climatic features of Lake Issyk-Kul create favorable conditions for hosting high-level international competitions.
The signing of the memorandum is seen as an important step in strengthening international cooperation and promoting the Kyrgyz Republic as a promising venue for major sports and tourism events.
