Bishkek, 17.02.26 /Kabar/. There are about 20 ski bases in Kyrgyzstan, most of which are located in the Chui, Issyk-Kul, and Osh regions. This was reported by the Director of the Tourism Department, Erdenet Kasymov, on the air of the ‘Elden Sobol’ program of the Kabar agency. According to him, 10–12 bases were actively operating this winter season. At the beginning of January, about 4,000 people rested daily at some of them. ‘To increase the diversity of the tourism market, a number of measures are being implemented. There is an Association of Ski Instructors, within which competitions are held. Festivals aimed at popularizing winter tourism are also organized,’ Kasymov said.
