Tazabek – At the international tourism exhibition BITF-2026, Deputy Director of the Tourism Development Support Fund, Apas Ryspakov, presented a project for the construction of the international sports complex ‘Tosor’ in the Issyk-Kul region.
According to him, this is the fund’s second major project planned for implementation on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul — in the picturesque area of Tosor. The district is distinguished by its unique natural landscape: snow-capped mountain peaks, coniferous forests, alpine meadows, and mountain rivers combine here.
The project’s feature is the natural-climatic conditions. The location is situated at an altitude of about 1600 meters above sea level, which is considered an optimal height for athlete training.
As Ryspakov stated, such conditions allow athletes to adapt faster to various climatic zones before international competitions.
The total area of the site for construction is 72.2 hectares. Nearby are mountain ranges up to 4,500 meters high, opening opportunities for developing cross-country disciplines and training alpinists.
The deputy director reported that the complex will provide facilities for more than 30 sports, including Olympic ones.
In addition to sports infrastructure, the project includes the construction of rehabilitation centers, youth hostels, sports chalets and hotels, as well as a scientific-sports laboratory.
