The head of the information policy service of the presidential administration, Dayyrbek Orunbekov, spoke about plans to develop the territory of the Nizhne-Ala-Archinskoe reservoir in the Chui region.
According to him, many Kyrgyz people do not even know about the existence of this place. The reservoir was built in 1965, and during its filling, part of the forest goes underwater, creating an unusual natural landscape.
As Dayyrbek Orunbekov noted, the place becomes especially popular from March to mid-June, when birds nest in the trees. During this time, tourists and photographers come here, including from neighboring countries.
He added that previously, services for vacationers were provided by private individuals, but the infrastructure remained undeveloped.
“Today, President Sadyr Japarov personally came to see this place and instructed state agencies to create conditions for people and tourists, to improve the territory,” Dayyrbek Orunbekov reported.
According to him, in the coming years, they plan to build A-frame houses, restaurants, and walking areas here. The authorities hope to turn the reservoir into one of the popular tourist destinations in the country.
