Today, November 19, on the sidelines of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) business forum, companies from KR and Tajikistan signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing joint tourism initiatives and strengthening partnerships. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.
From the Kyrgyz side, the document was signed by the Historical and Cultural Destination of Chui Region ‘Golden Valley of Chui’ (‘Altyn Sary-Ozon’), and from the Tajik side — by the company ‘Chavohir Tajikistan’.
The memorandum provides for cooperation in the following areas:
Development of joint tourist routes: creation and promotion of interregional tours combining natural, historical, and cultural attractions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Improving the quality of tourist services: exchange of experience in the service sector, organization of joint educational programs for guides, tour operators, and hotel business representatives.
Joint promotion on international markets: coordination of marketing campaigns and participation in international exhibitions under the unified regional concept ‘Central Asian Routes’.
Strengthening business ties: creating a platform for regular company interactions, holding bilateral business meetings, and developing long-term projects.
Development of ecological and sustainable tourism: support for initiatives aimed at preserving natural resources, introducing sustainable practices, and developing ecotourism directions.
Simplifying tourist exchanges: facilitating the easing of border crossings for tourists, improving logistics, as well as enhancing infrastructure and services on tourist routes.
