President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held talks with President of Albania Bajram Begaj during his official visit to the country.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as prospects for further interaction in political, trade-economic, and investment spheres.
Japarov noted that the first official visit of the Albanian leader to Kyrgyzstan opens a new page in the relations between the two countries. He emphasized interest in developing cooperation in the areas of tourism, agriculture, transport, finance, and digitalization.
Special attention was paid to issues of transport connectivity, including the prospect of opening direct air links, as well as expanding cooperation in education, culture, and sports.
In turn, Begaj stated that the negotiations open new opportunities for strengthening bilateral ties and noted the significant economic successes of Kyrgyzstan.
Following the meeting, the heads of state confirmed mutual interest in expanding cooperation and signed a joint statement on the further development of Kyrgyz-Albanian relations.
