Kyrgyzstan and Austria Expand Partnership in Tourism

Bishkek, 25.11.25./Kabar/. A meeting took place at the Ministry of Education between Minister Dogdurbek Kendirbaeva and the Austrian delegation.

According to the department, the delegation included representatives from the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria, educational organizations, as well as a diplomatic advisor from the Austrian Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The parties discussed expanding cooperation in the field of professional, technical, and tourism education, including interaction with the Mining University of Leoben and the Klessheim Tourism College. The Austrian side offered support in developing educational programs, attracting experts, instructors, and conducting lectures on tourism and hotel management.

Dogdurbek Kendirbaeva expressed interest in expanding cooperation, noting that for Kyrgyzstan as a mountainous country, developing tourism potential based on international standards is one of the important tasks.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a document on the creation of a joint working group between the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Austrian Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development.
