Kyrgyzstan is focusing on the development of year-round tourism

Kyrgyzstan is focusing on the development of year-round tourism. This was reported on the air of ‘Birinchi Radio’ by Damir Zhumakanov, head of the international cooperation department of JSC ‘Fund for Tourism Development Support’.

According to him, all mountain-tourist clusters should operate year-round, without division into summer and winter seasons.

‘We are trying to move away from this, despite the change of seasons. This year, the implementation of the ‘Three Peaks’ project began. Tenders have been held, lots have been distributed, construction of hotel complexes and so on is beginning. The first cable car is planned to be launched in 2028. Naturally, everything is done in stages. In addition, the fund is implementing a number of other projects – Baotik Mountain Resort, Chatkal Resort, focused on providing tourist services year-round, starting from cafes and restaurants, hotels, and ending with all types of tourism (skiing, trekking, hiking, ethno-villages, and so on),’ said Damir Zhumakanov.

He added that a number of master plans have been prepared for these projects, and work with potential investors is currently underway.
