Kyrgyzstan’s Revenues from Tourism Services Export Exceeded $1 Billion in 2025

Bishkek, 30.03.26 /Kabar/. In 2025, Kyrgyzstan’s revenues from the export of tourism services exceeded 1 billion US dollars, reaching 1.098 billion dollars, which is 8.1% higher than the 2024 figure. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.

According to their data, tourism today is one of the key sectors of the economy, forming employment, stimulating regional development, and providing a multiplier effect for related industries. For the year, the tourism industry’s contribution to GDP was 3.8%, and the gross value added reached 74.4 billion som.

The growth in indicators was ensured by a complex of factors, including:

  • active promotion of Kyrgyzstan on the international arena;
  • development of tourism infrastructure and improvement of service quality;
  • expansion of the geography of tourist flows;
  • growth of domestic tourism and entrepreneurial activity in the regions.

Today, about 129 thousand business entities are involved in the tourism industry, confirming the high level of business engagement and the sector’s importance for the country’s socio-economic development.

It is noted that the achieved results are formed under the reorientation to a sustainable model of tourism development, where priorities are environmental friendliness, preservation of cultural heritage, and even regional development.
