Luxury Train Tour Along the Silk Road Through Five Countries to Launch. Tourism News from 13.02.2026

The tourist train Grand Silk Road by Train will be organized by the British operator Golden Eagle Luxury Trains and tour operator GeoEx. The tour is designed for 22 days and will run from China to Uzbekistan through Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.

The route will start in Beijing, where the program will include visits to the Forbidden City and walks along sections of the Great Wall of China. Then the train will proceed to Xi’an, to the Terracotta Army, and then to Dunhuang.

In the Chinese part of the Gobi Desert, tourists will be offered a camel ride through the dunes, after which, due to the lack of direct rail connection between China and Kyrgyzstan, the group will fly to Kazakhstan.

The route will then continue on another train through Almaty, Bishkek, Lake Issyk-Kul, and Dushanbe, and then to Uzbekistan, where stops are planned in Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Kokand, and Nukus with organized excursions.

The first run is scheduled from September 21 to October 12, 2026, the second from August 30 to September 22, 2027. The tour cost starts from $50,700 per person for double occupancy. The price includes accommodation on the train and in hotels along the route, meals, transfers, and insurance.

The train consists of several categories of compartments – two-person Silver Class, four-person Gold Class, and Imperial Suite with a separate living area and extended amenities, as well as Han Dynasty Suites. In addition, the train has observation cars with panoramic windows and a dining car.
