The tallest waterfall in Central Asia “Shar” is located in the Atbash region. The place is far for 400 km from Bishkek and the length of the waterfall is also about 400m height. So, let make an amazing 4 days trip to this beautiful place and explore the real nomad’s life visiting the local family shepherd’s in the stunning mountain gorge Tuiuk Bogoshtu. Sleep in the yurt camp Bogoshtu which is hidden in the tiny gorge surrounding by fir forest. ITINERARY

Travel from Bishkek to  Song-Kul valley. It will be a day driving for about 4-5 hours. Arrival in Song-Kul for late lunch in the yurt camp and afternoon take hiking around the valley. Optional to practicing horse riding. Dine and sleep in the yurt camp.

Spend morning time at the lake Song-Kul. Participating in the everyday life of local shepherds: milking the cows, feeding the cattle, making the bread and cooking. After having a good lunch trip for Naryn through the beautiful pass 32 serpentines where you can also do short hiking for one hour to the waterfall coming downriver from the lake Song-Kul into the Naryn kapchygai gorge. Late afternoon arrival in Naryn, accommodation in the guest house with good shower and bathroom facilities. Welcome for homemade dinner in the guest house.

Today after early breakfast transfer for Atbashy and day horse trek to the waterfall “Shar “. It is time to have the experience of riding horseback on the mountain trail to the waterfall for 10 km. The distance is available for beginners to manage for 3 hours riding up until the waterfall. Ascend the waterfall take a lunch picnic in the wild, sightseeing around and afternoon return back to your car and transfer another beautiful gorge Bogoshtu where you will be welcomed with hospitality family yurt camp. The place is nice for sleeping and enjoys the nature wild. The yurt camp is a lovely place by locals where you can have some local traditional entertainments like a master class for traditional foods, Kyrgyz traditional celebrations of locals for the wedding: “kuda tosuu”, kyz uzatuu”, baby parties: “beshik toi”, “tushoo kesuu”, “sherine” etc. Dine and sleep in the yurt camp.

After breakfast travel for Tuiuk Bogoshtu. The mountain gorge is not a crowded and unknown place for travelers so far. You will be welcomed with real local shepherd’s family for lunch and explore the most beautiful landscape surrounding by high rocky mountains, Tien-Shan fir trees, and very energy mountain crystal water river Bogoshtu which is running fast down to Atbashy valley. You can take hiking around the place and discovery the land as a first discoverer. Later afternoon transfer for Naryn. Accommodation in the guest house with dinner.

After breakfast travel back to Bishkek. On the way stop in Kochkor village to visit the local family house where you can meet the traditional felt carpet making master. Learn how to make a traditional felt carper Shirdak and Ala-Kiyiz. Demonstration of the entertainment for one hour and be welcomed for lunch with a family continue communication with the craftswoman about the tradition of the Kyrgyz people and the identity of artisans. Late afternoon leave for Bishkek. Arrival in Bishkek, accommodation in your hotel.

It is Ok to do horse treks in Kyrgyzstan for beginners or the people who have never ridden before.
