**Bishkek, 02.02.26. /Kabar/.** A new cable car has been launched in test mode in the Ala-Archa natural park. The President’s Affairs Department reported this to the Kabar agency.
Currently, technical tests are being conducted at the facility as part of commissioning activities. The work is being carried out by engineers from Doppelmayr, one of the world’s leading companies in the design, construction, and maintenance of cable lifts.
At this stage, specialists are completing the final adjustment of safety systems and preparing the lift for load tests. Parallel to this, training of personnel is being organized, who will later be responsible for the operation of the cable car and ensuring passenger safety.
As reported to the agency by the President’s Affairs Department of the Kyrgyz Republic, after completing all technical adjustments and successfully passing the tests, the facility will be fully ready to receive visitors. It is expected that the official opening of the cable car will take place approximately on February 14-15, however, the exact date will be announced additionally, based on the results of all test and commissioning works.
Recall that the construction of the cable car in the Ala-Archa natural park began in January 2025. The total route length will be 23 km, making the project one of the largest infrastructure facilities in the country’s tourism industry. It is expected that the launch of the cable car will significantly increase the tourist attractiveness of the park and improve access to its natural attractions.
