On October 7, a delegation from the Karakol mayor’s office arrived in Osh. Over the next three days, representatives of the two municipalities will hold meetings and familiarize themselves with the work of local self-government bodies.
On the first day, a meeting was held with the participation of deputy mayors, the chairman of the city kenesh, heads of mayor’s office departments and heads of municipal enterprises. Participants were presented with the results of the Osh city mayor’s office activities for nine months, strategic city development plans and measures to create additional sources of income for the local budget.
In addition, projects implemented within the framework of public-private and international partnerships, as well as successes in the field of tourism, were discussed. During the visit, the delegation from Karakol will visit municipal enterprises, social and cultural facilities of the city.
Osh Mayor Zhenisbek Toktorbaev has been heading the city since January 2025. Former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh. Known for his active position in landscaping, he introduces the practice of on-site meetings and personally controls urban projects.
Karakol Mayor Kanybek Adiev was appointed in June 2025. Previously, he was the head of Tyup district. Promotes tourism development and improvement of Karakol.
