In Muminabad, the development of tourism cooperation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan was discussed. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the international forum “Khatlon – the Land of Civilizations and Tourism” in Chilhudaron, the press service of the Chairman of the Khatlon Region reported.
Chairman of the Khatlon Region Davlatali Said met with Eduard Kubatov, Director of the State Agency for Tourism under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
The parties discussed the development of tourism, expansion of specialized ties, and opportunities to attract more tourists to both countries.
Regional tourism routes were discussed separately. Meeting participants noted that foreign tourists are increasingly choosing trips across several Central Asian countries at once, so Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan can jointly develop such directions.
Davlatali Said noted that the Khatlon Region has significant historical, cultural, and natural potential and can participate in creating joint tourism routes with neighboring countries.
Eduard Kubatov, in turn, stated the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to develop cooperation, exchange experience, and work on new projects in the field of tourism.
The forum “Khatlon – the Land of Civilizations and Tourism” is attended by representatives of foreign countries, international organizations, tourism companies, and business circles. Its goal is to present the tourism opportunities of the Khatlon Region and expand international cooperation in this area.
