In January–March 2026, out of the total number of insurance contracts concluded, 28 thousand (or 3.8 percent) were for tourism insurance, which is 1.5 times more compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the National Statistical Committee.
The insured sum under tourism insurance contracts concluded as of April 1 amounted to 32.6 billion soms.
Since the beginning of the year, 42.3 million soms in insurance premiums have been received, which is 1.6 times more compared to January–March 2025.
During the reporting period, 498 insurance claims were registered, for which payments totaling 14.5 million soms were made.
According to the National Statistical Committee, in 2025, 3.1 percent or 104.9 thousand contracts out of the total number concluded were for tourism insurance. Last year, 1,469 insurance claims were registered, for which 21.5 million soms in insurance payments were made.
