Bishkek, 30.03.26. /Kabar/. In the village of Ornok, Issyk-Kul district, on the basis of the Center for Nomadic Civilization named after Kurmanjan Datka, the grand opening of the Traditional Crafts Center took place.
As reported by the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, the project was implemented within the framework of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea with the support of the ICHCAP organization under UNESCO. Its goal is to develop traditional crafts, promote cultural tourism, and preserve intangible cultural heritage.
The new center is a modern space designed for conducting master classes, exhibitions, and educational programs. Within the project, the museum was updated, infrastructure improved, and modern equipment provided.
As part of the opening ceremony, an exhibition dedicated to Dinar Chochunbayeva, master classes by artisans, and cultural events were organized.
This initiative will make a significant contribution to the development of cultural tourism and the crafts sector in Kyrgyzstan.
