In the picturesque area of Besh-Mergen jailoo in the Kara-Suu district of the Osh region, the annual tourism festival “Salam Osh – 2026” will take place on May 21, 2026. This was announced on the air of the ElTR TV channel by the deputy plenipotentiary representative of the president in the Osh region, Talantbek Arstankulov. He invited residents and guests of the region to take part in the upcoming event. The festival is aimed at popularizing the national traditions and values of the Kyrgyz people, as well as the development of tourism, culture, crafts and national cuisine. The program will feature performances by more than 300 komuz players, demonstrations of national games, an exhibition of folk craftsmen’s products, and a concert program with performers of folk and modern music. Guests will also be offered a tasting of national cuisine dishes. The organizers note that the festival will become a platform for family recreation and acquaintance with the natural and cultural heritage of the Osh region.
