President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with the head of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masato Kanda. The parties discussed long-term cooperation and the implementation of significant projects in key sectors of the economy, the president’s press service reported. Sadyr Japarov noted the positive dynamics of socio-economic development in Kyrgyzstan and the creation of favorable conditions for large infrastructure projects. He emphasized a number of priority areas for cooperation with the ADB: the transport sector — projects that will allow Kyrgyzstan to gain the status of a ‘regional hub’, energy and agriculture. Masato Kanda confirmed the Asian Development Bank’s readiness to support projects in ‘green’ energy, agriculture, tourism, and transport infrastructure. Masato Kanda expressed confidence that the successful implementation of these projects and fruitful cooperation with Kyrgyzstan will improve the living standards of the country’s citizens.
