Bishkek, 07.07.2026. /Kabar/. The cable car in the Ala-Too Resort mountain cluster will undergo technical tests until December, and the service staff will undergo additional training. Reception of vacationers will begin only after the official opening of the facility. This was announced live on Birinchi Radio by Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of OJSC Ala-Too Resort Askat Cholponbaev.
According to him, the cable car in Ala-Too Resort is not yet accepting vacationers and tourists.
“At the first stage, we completed the construction of a cable car about 4 km long. As is known, it is being built using modern technologies by the world leader in this industry – Doppelmayr company. It is worth noting one unique feature: our cable car uses a system rare for many countries, combining two types of seating. Both open chairs and closed cabins will run on the same line. We installed a combined type of seats because the resort is designed for year-round recreation, not only for skiing in winter, but also for outdoor recreation in any season,” noted Cholponbaev.
He also added that as part of the project, it is planned to extend the cable car in the second and third stages from the starting station at an altitude of 2250-2900 meters to a mark of 3300 meters above sea level.
