The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Italy, Taalaibek Bazarbayev, made a working trip to the Sicily region of Italy on November 10-11. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during his visit, meetings were held with the mayor of Catania, the president of the Unimpres association, the rector of the University of Catania, and the director of the ‘Massimo Bellini’ theater. In particular, during the meeting with the mayor of Catania, the parties agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation through the establishment of sister city relations. At the same time, during the meeting with the president of the Unimpres association, Mr. J. Spadafora, the ambassador proposed establishing direct contacts with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic to identify priority areas of cooperation and implement specific projects. As a result of the meeting, the ambassador spoke about the export, tourism, and trade potential of Kyrgyzstan.
