Contract Signed with Doppelmayr for Construction of Four More Cable Cars in Jyrgalan

**Bishkek, 25.02.26 /Kabar/.** JSC “Ala-Too Resort” and Doppelmayr have signed a contract for the construction of four more cable cars at the “Jyrgalan” resort. This was reported by JSC “Ala-Too Resort”.

It is noted that the document was signed by the head of the Russia and CIS division of Doppelmayr, Valery Yashin, and the chairman of the board of JSC “Ala-Too Resort”, Zharkynbek Maksutov.

The new contract is a continuation of a large-scale project to create a modern ski resort in the Issyk-Kul region. Under the first agreement signed last year, the construction of two main cable cars is already underway. Their commissioning is planned for May of this year.

> “According to the document signed today, four more cable cars will be built in Jyrgalan by the end of the year. Thus, by December, the total length of cable lines will be more than 8 kilometers, and the length of ski slopes — 46 kilometers,” the message states.

**First Phase of Resort Development**

As Valery Yashin noted, last year’s contract became the starting point for the large construction of the new resort. During this time, in addition to implementing infrastructure facilities, a master plan for the comprehensive development of Jyrgalan was developed.

The master plan defines the first phase of the project, which includes not only cable cars but also all related infrastructure.

> “This year, in addition to building lifts, large-scale work on the mountain is planned — to create a full-service complex. The task is to ensure that by December, tourists receive a service level comparable to leading world ski destinations,” he says.

**Modern Technologies and International Experience**

According to company representatives, the equipment installed at the resort is among the most modern solutions in the industry. Doppelmayr implements projects in 96 countries worldwide, and a resort of this scale in Kyrgyzstan will be the first in the company’s history in the republic.

Special attention is paid to the quality of not only the lifts but also the entire resort infrastructure, which is being created at a high international level.

**Construction in Mountain Conditions**

Despite the complex mountainous terrain and climatic conditions, the contractor is confident in meeting the deadlines. About 60% of the company’s projects are implemented in high-altitude areas. Doppelmayr’s portfolio includes building lifts at altitudes up to 4,000 meters above sea level.

The company notes that it has extensive experience working in winter conditions, including laying technological corridors and delivering equipment to snowy areas.

> “Construction in Jyrgalan is proceeding at an intensive pace, and in several areas, work is ahead of schedule. The first lifts are planned to be put into operation by the end of May, and the first phase of the project should be fully completed by December of this year,” summed up “Ala-Too Resort”.
