Dinara Kemelova Called to Pay Special Attention to the Chatkal District

**Bishkek, 15.12.25. /Kabar/.** “The Chatkal District is one of those remote and mountainous districts that needs special attention, particularly in terms of development,” noted Dinara Kemelova, the President’s special representative for the implementation of the Five-Year Action Plan for the Development of Mountainous Regions, during a forum on launching the national label pilot and climate financing in the Chatkal District.

She emphasized that the five-year state program for the development of mountainous regions provides for a comprehensive set of measures.

“First, it is improving the living conditions of residents in mountainous districts. Second, preserving mountain ecosystems. Third, increasing the resilience of mountainous territories to climate change and combating natural disasters caused by climate change. Today, we saw great potential for the development of the Chatkal District in energy, tourism, agriculture, and mining industry. At the same time, there are many problems and issues that require a comprehensive solution,” added Kemelova.

She also stressed that close cooperation with local agricultural committees and district administrations is necessary on these issues so that projects are included in strategic development plans.
