First Flight on the Guangzhou – Bishkek – Guangzhou Route Takes Place

Bishkek, 30.03.26 /Kabar/. On March 29, a historic event took place for the aviation industry of the Kyrgyz Republic – the first flight on the Guangzhou – Bishkek – Guangzhou route was operated by China Southern Airlines. This route is opening for the first time and is the result of systematic work, effective management, and coordinated efforts of the team at OJSC ‘Kyrgyzstan Airports,’ as well as close and constructive interaction with Chinese partners. Regular flights on this route will be operated twice a week – on Wednesdays and Sundays. The first flight to Manas International Airport brought 134 passengers, and the return flight to Guangzhou carried 104 passengers, indicating high interest in the new route right from its launch.

The opening of this flight creates new opportunities for the development of both passenger and cargo transportation, and also contributes to strengthening transport, economic, and humanitarian ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and the People’s Republic of China. ‘The launch of this flight is an important step in expanding the route network and enhancing Kyrgyzstan’s international connectivity. We see high potential in this direction both in terms of passenger flow and cargo transportation development,’ noted Aman Mamaev, Commercial Director of OJSC ‘Kyrgyzstan Airports’.

It is important to note that China Southern Airlines operates flights from Bishkek to Beijing six days a week. OJSC ‘Kyrgyzstan Airports’ will continue work to expand the geography of flights, attract new airlines, and create the most comfortable conditions for passengers and partners.
