Bishkek, 22.06.26. /Kabar/. In 2025, 271 thousand tourists visited 8 natural parks in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Ecology and Regional Development by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Almaz Musaev.
According to him, the most popular among vacationers are the natural parks “Sary-Chelek”, “Kyrgyz-Ata” and “Besh-Tash”.
“The entrance fee is distributed into three categories: for local citizens, for visitors from CIS countries and for tourists from far abroad. Prices are set in the range from 150 to 700 soms,” he said.
Musaev clarified that out of 271 thousand tourists, 250 thousand 580 people were local residents, 13 thousand 700 people were tourists from CIS countries and 6 thousand 800 people were citizens of far abroad countries.
He also reported that digitization work is currently underway in the natural parks.
According to the deputy minister, today Kyrgyzstan has 23 specially protected natural areas, 20 of which are under the ministry’s jurisdiction. Of these, 10 are nature reserves where tourist entry is prohibited. Access for vacationers is open to the remaining 10 natural parks.
