President Sadyr Japarov received Cypriot Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit. According to the presidential administration, the sides discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation and interaction on international platforms. Sadyr Japarov noted Kyrgyzstan’s interest in deepening ties with Cyprus in the areas of tourism, investment, finance, and interbank cooperation. Special attention was paid to interaction within international organizations. Konstantinos Kombos congratulated the president on the country’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. The Cypriot foreign minister emphasized that his visit aims to give new impetus to bilateral relations and expand cooperation between the states. Sadyr Japarov thanked him for the congratulations and confirmed Kyrgyzstan’s readiness to develop mutually beneficial partnership. This is the first official visit by the Cypriot foreign minister to the Kyrgyz Republic in recent years.
