Kyrgyzstan and France discussed opening direct air service and creating cultural centers

Bishkek, 09.03.26 /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Marlen Mamataliev received the Ambassador of France to Kyrgyzstan Nicolas Fay. According to the Jogorku Kenesh, the parties shared considerations on opening direct air service and creating cultural centers of the two countries. The parties also discussed issues of developing political-economic, cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and strengthening interparliamentary ties. Marlen Mamataliev noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in expanding cooperation with France in all areas. ‘In particular, deepening trade-economic ties is of special importance to us, as there are great opportunities here. In addition, we need to conduct joint work in the fields of environmental protection, tourism development, and strengthening digitalization policy,’ he said. The Speaker emphasized the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in developing partnership and added about the need to organize bilateral meetings and deputy visits. In addition, he expressed the opinion that expanding the interaction of friendship deputy groups is a requirement of the time. In turn, Ambassador Nicolas Fay noted the importance of the proposals voiced by Marlen Mamataliev and shared his initiatives to expand Kyrgyz-French cooperation. The ambassador added that special attention will be paid to deepening interparliamentary ties, as cooperation in this area is of special importance for the successful implementation of the reached agreements.
