Kyrgyzstan Introduces Strict Standards for Ziplines, Toboggans, and Glass Bridges

**The Ministry of Construction has submitted for public discussion a draft order approving special construction standards for the design and operation of extreme tourism facilities in the Kyrgyz Republic. The document establishes uniform safety requirements for existing and under-construction ziplines, toboggans, glass and suspension bridges, as well as observation platforms.**

As noted in the explanatory note, such structures are classified as high-complexity objects, requiring mandatory consideration of **seismic activity**, **terrain**, and **climatic loads** during their construction.

> According to the new rules, only organizations with
> a special license
> will be able to engage in the design of such objects
> . The documentation must include calculations of dynamic loads, evacuation plans, alert systems, and safety instructions for staff and tourists. The standards also require owners of attractions to conduct
> regular tests of safety equipment
> and maintain technical monitoring logs.

Special attention in the project is given to environmental protection: **construction is prohibited** in hazardous areas without protective measures, and the placement of objects must **minimize impact on the landscape** and prevent slope erosion.

The document also addresses **climbing routes** and safety measures in this sport. The ministry emphasizes that adopting the standards will not require budgetary expenditures and will not create negative social or corruption consequences.
