On November 27, the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic launched the country’s participation in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF) ‘Tourism on the Silk Road’. Kyrgyzstan annually participates in the exhibition, which has been held since 1995. The National Stand features 10 tour companies, the Karakol city administration, and two destinations in the Issyk-Kul region. Eight domestic tour companies arrived at the exhibition as visitors. The TITF-2025 exhibition will run until November 29 inclusive. Official statistics show that the number of guests from Uzbekistan this year leads among foreign tourists visiting the Kyrgyz Republic. In this regard, participation in TITF-2025 is particularly important. The focus of the national stand participants and representatives of the Department of Tourism as the profile state body is to present the tourist potential of the Kyrgyz Republic and showcase tour packages to all regions of the country for the types of tourism that interest visitors. A series of B2B meetings are simultaneously held at the stand. For the first time in Tashkent, a new pavilion design is presented, which maximally contributes to productive interaction with foreign partners. In parallel with the exhibition, a large-scale business program is being held: the tourism forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the ‘Central Asia – European Union’ forum, aviation and educational forums, as well as panel sessions discussing key trends in tourism and innovations shaping the future of the industry. Special attention is paid to the formation of a single tourist space for the so-called ‘Five Stans of Central Asia’ countries. On the final day of the exhibition, the ‘Silk Road Tourism Awards’ ceremony is planned. The Department of Tourism expresses gratitude to UNDP in the Kyrgyz Republic for its contribution to the development of the tourism sector, as well as to JSC ‘Tourism Development Support Fund’ for the technical assistance provided in collecting registration fees from tour companies.
