The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, held a meeting to discuss the progress of projects aimed at developing the tourism sector in the country.
In particular, issues related to the implementation of the ‘Chatkal Resort’ project in the Chatkal district of Jalal-Abad region for the creation of a modern mountain resort were considered. The project is planned to be implemented in the format of public-private partnership with the involvement of private investors and specialized development companies, with an implementation period of approximately 2026-2034 years.
The goal of the project is to create new jobs, improve the socio-economic development of the region and increase the flow of foreign tourists, as well as further improve transport links between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan by creating an international highway corridor.
Further, the progress of the investment project for the construction of a multifunctional international-level tourist-resort complex ‘Choktal-Resort’ on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul was considered. The project aims to create a modern 5-star resort complex that meets international quality standards, environmental sustainability, and year-round operation.
The future complex will be managed using modern technologies for automation and standardization of business processes, ensuring a high level of service and optimization of operational activities. The total implementation period of the project is 3 years.
