Minister of Transport and Communications Talantbek Soltobaev visited the alternative North-South highway and familiarized himself on-site with the progress of work to prepare the route for seasonal operation. This was reported by the department. According to the Ministry of Transport, during the working trip, the minister identified sites for the placement of road construction enterprises and instructed to build the corresponding facilities in three places in the shortest possible time. Tasks were also set to ensure road safety, including the construction of retaining walls, lighting of overpass bridges, clearing the road of rockfalls, and full preparation of the route for opening by June 1. It is noted that this highway will be open during the summer season — from June to November. The Ministry urged drivers to strictly observe traffic rules, speed limits, and to responsibly comply with safety requirements.
