In the Sheker rural district of the Aytmatov district of the Talas region, construction work on the cultural and memorial complex ‘Chyngyz Aalam’ continues, the Ministry of Construction reports. The works are financed from the republican budget, with an estimated cost of 150 million som. Currently, concreting works are underway. The project provides for the construction of a new house-museum of the writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, a cinema, a library, as well as a hotel. ‘This project is one of the major historical and cultural sites and is aimed at developing cultural tourism in the country,’ the Ministry added.
