Storm Warning: Heavy Rains and Mudflows Expected in Mountainous and Foothill Areas from May 3-6

**Ecology (AKIpress) -** From May 3 to 6, 2026, in the foothill and mountain areas of the republic, due to unstable weather and expected local heavy rains, mudflows are possible, and rises in water levels are expected in rivers.

The population is advised to observe precautions during holidays and weekends: if possible, limit stays in mountain and foothill areas, do not plan rest near rivers and gorges, and refrain from trips on mountain roads during heavy precipitation.

On highways when passing avalanche-prone sections, it is necessary to strictly maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
