The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that changes have been made to the regulation on the procedure for the stay of foreign citizens in Kyrgyzstan.
The department noted that the adopted changes are aimed at further streamlining migration processes, simplifying the mechanisms for legalizing the stay of foreign citizens in the country, as well as creating clear, transparent, and flexible conditions for entry and stay.
In particular, a special norm has been introduced regulating the legal status of ethnic Kyrgyz and their family members.
According to it, persons who previously exceeded the established stay period and did not timely obtain the necessary permits are granted the right to a one-time entry into Kyrgyzstan with the opportunity to legalize their status within 30 working days.
In this regard, the ministry urges foreign citizens and the receiving party to strictly observe the established stay periods in Kyrgyzstan and take into account the changes that have come into force when planning their stay in the country.
The resolution comes into force ten days after its official publication.
